A piata is a container, usually product of papier-mch, cardboard, or material, that’s crammed with sweet and different small toys. Piatas are sometimes embellished with colourful paper or material and are suspended from a rope or wire. Individuals take turns hitting the piata with a stick or bat till it breaks open and the contents spill out.
Large piatas are a preferred attraction at events and festivals. They’re usually used as a strategy to have fun particular events, akin to birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays. Large piatas will also be used as a strategy to promote companies or merchandise.
